Fingers

No matter how we've tried, not one of our children has ever taken a pacifier (or binky or plug or whatever you call it). Luke especially has a dislike for it. But who needs it when you've got one built right in? He has developed a particular taste for his last two fingers. If you lay him down to sleep, it's a given that he'll fuss for a second, pop those two fingers in and then close his eyes. He loves them!

I guess we'll see how long we think it's cute...

before we had kids, i hoped that they wouldn't suck their thumbs or have a pacifier. well . . . i changed my mind a little after they got here. bentley had a pacifier for a while, and a thumb (or fingers would have been so much easier - no dropping it on the ground or forgetting it).

what a cute boy you have!

Your lucky it is two fingers and not just one. Price has been attached to his pointer finger on his right hand since he was four months old. He is almost 3! It has really messed up his teeth. Nash is attached to his pacifier but I am a much bigger fan than the finger. I know it is a pain...losing them, dropping on the floor, etc. but at least I can throw them away and break the habit. We don't know what to do with Price. We can't take his finger away! We loved it when he was little but we aren't such big fans now! But Luke is so cute!

My kids wouldn't take binkies, either. And they wouldn't suck their thumbs. Sucking fingers is nice, because then they can self-soothe. But I can see your friend's point about it being difficult later. My mom had to dunk my sister's thumb in alcohol a few times a day so that she wouldn't suck her thumb anymore.

My goodness little boy, you are cute. Is he always this pensive? He already looks smart and spiritual. Future GA no doubt.

Love you and your I enjoy your pics so much!
