Only two weeks into it and they seem to have it down pretty well. I cried like a baby the night before...I hardly even slept. But I kept it together for them when they got on the bus. As they were driving off I confess, I started imagining them inside that big bus, off to an unfamiliar place and got all choked up again. I told Barrett I'm not sure what makes it more difficult: thinking of them at school and me at home when they need me, or thinking of them at school and me at home and them not needing me. I don't care for either scenario.
I had an idea I wanted to try. Here's my mediocre attempt. Watch for Kate's expression off the bus. What you won't see are the pictures of me tapping on the bus door after Kate gets off and before the bus driver starts driving away. He stops, opens the door and I ask very sheepishly if he by chance has my other child on the bus. Thankfully, he does. I found out Anna was sitting dutifully in her seat waiting for him to call the first graders like they did in the morning when he dropped them off at school. I told her she was a good girl, but asked her to please not scare her mama like that anymore. :o)

Seeing your little girls makes me so glad that I have two daughters. I hope they will be such good buddies like your girls seem to be.
So cute! You need to shoot me an email on how you put it together... what program did you use? Those little ladies of yours are gorgeous!
*sniff*
That was so cute Nicole!
I love it! Well done. I just watched a stop motion music video yesterday and was thinking it might be fun to do something like this. Looks like you beat me to it. :)
do you have a disease that makes you constantly creative? If so, I hope it's infectious, and I want to catch it at Thanksgiving! ;)
nicole, this is so cute! it almost made me cry!!! try uploading to utube and then to blogger. i've had blogger video issues too. darling idea though. lucky girls to have such a creative momma!
I bet it's so much harder sending two off at once. There are times (like yesterday) when I realize my little Jill is off at school and I have no idea what she's doing or who's being mean to her or if she feels ok, etc. This is her 2nd year at school and I still have little panic moments. But she loves school so much that I try to not worry. :) Your girls are so adorable.
That was super cute! I want another!
Love it! Your girls are so cute. It brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of dropping Taytum off at school and watching her walk away. They are so little but learning to be big. Love it and hate it at the same time.
i love it!
i'm so glad to know that bentley and maxwell have each other at school. hope your girls are doing well.
OH that made me cry! I want Kenddnedy to have a sister someday!
Waaaay cute! It makes me think of when I dropped my 2 college girls off at BYU last month and the look on my one daughter's face as we drove off, leaving her looking so sad and scared! Holy cow, now THAT was heart-wrenching.
sweetest thing ever. i loved the happy reunion with luke! thank goodness you have him left at home with you. those tears may have lasted a little longer otherwise :)
so cute :) love the pics and where did you find that song?
Sooo cute. Jack Johnson is my favorite, and reminds me of the burg, where I first heard him.
Nicole, that is priceless! Your girls will love you forever for capturing that! And for being the best mom ever...
That's something I've never seen on the first day of school. For some reason boys aren't so into the 'walking off hand-in-hand' thing. So very cute, and kudos to you for keeping it together. And don't worry--they still need you. Thanks for posting.
wow...when did I miss this. that is too cute. made me want to cry!
You are so cute. When Dylan started Kindergarten, I was like, "Hallelujah! He's OUTTA here!" And this year, with him in school all day, is soooo wonderful. He and I need lots of breaks from each other.
So darling. You had a gazillian still shots there then? That's dilligence. The video turned out so fun. I can't believe that "other" child didn't get off the bus. Talk about scary.
That made ME want to cry and they aren't even mine!
