Missing Dad

Barrett had surgery yesterday and he's stuck in bed. We're missing him a lot! I think the girls are pretty bored with just mom for entertainment. So, for kicks, we decided to make dad a "get well" banner. This is a fabulous activity I'm realizing. With that much paper, they'll be occupied for hours.
Underneath all that hair is Kate. She's drawing a picture of dad
when he was little. "That's why he has stuff on his face," she says.

Anna wanted the sign to read "Get Well December 11th".
Hmmm. I took authoritative license and vetoed that one!
I'd like him back a little sooner, please.

Get well soon Daddy!

Hey, we hope Barrett gets to feeling better too. No fun! If you need some cookies...we always need excuses to make some. :)

I hope he isn't down for too long. Great activity. Anything to keep the kiddos busy!

I didn't know Barrett was having surgery...Hope it's not too serious. I'm sure he'll recover quickly with two little helpers.

Get well soon...at least before April!

What did Barrett have surgery for? Poor guy. Surgery must really suck. I haven't had to have one...yet. You are so funny on my blog - "By the way, I'm a pear." You crack me up. You are a stick, Nicole! Not a pear!!

Nicole -

Yeah, sad about Mary. I was out of town when it happened and came home to the news. Crazy!

You're kids are adorable.

Is Barrett at the hospital or just back in his bed recovering? Hope he's feeling much better. Those first few days after surgery are the pits. Improvement seems slow at first but then "presto!", you're all better.

Sorta.

I had my neighbor looking at your blog. She nearly cried to see how beautiful your girls are and was blown away at the quality of the photos you take. Her step dad had just come to take pics of her little girl for an ad agency and they were awful. Oops.

Cute, Cute Cute. I love that idea of making a banner for daddy. So sweet.

And to comment on the comment before me, you should be taking professional pictures. Everyone agrees.
